With the rise of social media, we are also seeing a different side of people that we used to not see. Over the past year I have noticed there are three types of people on social media, especially Facebook and Pinterest. There is the perfectionist. The one with the perfect life, the perfect house, and the perfect family. These people are obviously on happy pills or live in delusion land. There are the people who really just do not care what others think. They are the “this is my life, like it or get out” types. Those tend to be many of my friends. Lastly there are the wishers. These are the people that make me think of the old 90’s song “I Wish”. If you do not remember the song check it out here.
These people wish they were single. They wish they taken. If only they could lose weight. They have been wronged. It is not their fault. The list goes on. I was even one of these people myself before I realized there was no fun in it. If you are one of these wishers please continue reading. If you know one of these wishers, it is time to help them.
Stop the wishing your life away!
You are enough! You are the best you that you can be. Be happy with yourself. When you change your thoughts to solutions instead of problems, you will see your life in a whole new light. If you were granted all of your wishes but you were not happy with yourself, guess what. You will still be unhappy. Yes there are people who are bigger, stronger, smarter, and wealthier people but there is also people who have a lot less, are weak, and sick. We were not made to be perfect at everything, all the time. That is not in our design. It is our flaws and our skills that make us who we are.
Now I am not saying do not try to change the things you do not like about yourself or your life. If you feel you need to learn a new skill, lose ten pounds, or change your hair color, go for it but be comfortable with who you are. Smile at that person looking back at you in the mirror. Love yourself first. When you do become comfortable with yourself you will notice the changes for the good that is going on in your life. Before you know it, you will not know why you ever wished to be anything but yourself.

Ugh. Yes, the ‘wishers’ on social media drive me crazy. I typically unfriend or unfollow pretty quickly. Great post, thanks for sharing!
