This weekend marks the first of many WordCamps that I will be attending this year. Luckily for me this will be the closest one as well. Look out St. Louis for here we come! For the St Louis WordCamp I have teamed up with Foo Plugins. I am very proud to represent them this weekend. Adam and the rest of the group there have been some of my mentors from the start of me joint the WordPress community and I am very grateful to be able to help them as well. At some point during the day you will be able to find me rocking the Foo shirt in the Happiness Bar chatting about anything your heart’s desire. It is not a guarantee but I just might throw in a few lines for a live blog during the event.
There is a great lineup this year with the wonderful Carrie Dils as the keynote. Unfortunately this has already become a sold out event. There are some tickets at the door but I would get there super early! Camp out if you need to but stay warm! My good buddy Tom Harness and the super cool Leigh Caldwell from Harness TechEd will be presenting on what WordPress can do for businesses. The one very cool thing is that I will FINALLY get to meet Sarah Pressler!
Even if you are not making it to the St Louis WordCamp, I suggest you attend one this year. If you have any interest in WordPress at all or want to build yourself higher in the community, MeetUps and WordCamps are the way to go!
